Austin came to Ahadi Boys Home when he was six years old. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed playing football (soccer), rugby and taekwondo. He also was musical and learned to play the piano, and played the trumpet in his primary school band. Austin completed his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in November 2023.
Clapaton came to Ahadi Boys Home as a five year old. We quickly realized that he loved music and so enrolled him in piano lessons. He wanted to to learn every instrument he saw. Today Clapaton plays piano, guitar and is learning drums. He is in Form 4 (12th Grade) and is active in school sports, music and drama. During the holiday from school he works as a junior intern at Eden Thriving. After high school he wants to study catering and continue with his music.
Jadiel came to Ahadi when he was seven. He had never been to school and so began homeschooling in Ahadi's accelerated homeschool program. In 2021 he was able to join his agemates in regular school. He was at Ahadi boys home for four years. Today Jadiel is 12 years old and in eighth grade. He loves school, enjoys art and music, participates in soccer and taekwondo. He is very bright and loves his foster parents.
Njeru came to Ahadi Boys home as a four year old. He began school when he was five and always did very well. He participated in football (soccer), earned his black belt in Taekwondo and played the piano. Early on he displayed a love for animals and the outdoors. He is a passionate fisherman and loves to spend his free time either biking or fishing. In December 2023 Njeru graduated with a diploma in wildlife management.
Njuguna came to Ahadi Boys Home as a seven year old. He homeschooled in our accelerated program until he was able to join his agemates in class. Today Njuguna is in From 3 (grade 11) he is an active participant in sports, music, drama and art. From an early age his talents in all areas became apparent. He now attends boarding school and lives with his mother and brothers during the holidays.
Timothy came to Ahadi Boys Home as a seven year old boy. He was very bright and able to join school with his agemates immediately. He grew up playing sports and joining in outdoor activities, camps and church activities. He is soft spoken and has a gentle personality. He has been volunteering at Eden Thriving Camps as a facilitator in his spare time. He is currently working on his Commercial Pilot License.
