breaking the cycle
A large majority of the street children in Kenya are in the capital city of Nairobi. Why and how do these children find themselves on the streets? There are many answers to those questions. Many are running away from an abusive home life; their families are forced into street life because of poverty; others are on the street after being abandoned or losing their parents to disease or violence. A large percentage of these street children are male.
Once on the street, children face a harsh environment of harassment, violence, drugs, trafficking, sexual exploitation, poor hygienic conditions, exposure to the elements, loneliness, fear, starvation, and death. This is the unfortunate reality of many children on the streets of Nairobi. This is the cycle that Ahadi Boys Home hopes to break.

admission
Ahadi Boys Home admits boys between the ages of 4 and 12 who are from the street. Children are referred to the home through Children's Services, other charitable organizations, and individuals. An intensive background check is done to find out how and why the child ended up on the street. This helps to assess each child and know how to meet their individual needs.
Meeting the need
Ahadi Boys Home envisions a bright future for the children in our care. We want them to have stability, protection, and enriching life experiences that will expand their world view. By keeping the enrollment small the boys benefit in numerous ways. Their needs are recognized and attended to, their hopes and dreams are encouraged, and their daily lives are enriched in ways that cannot be accomplished within a larger group.
Our Staff
hope for the future
Our goal is to provide more opportunities and life experiences for the children at Ahadi Boys Home. We envision a bright future for them. Our graduates have gone on to university and technical college. Some of them are now married with their own families and businesses. Others are still pursuing their careers and looking for job opportunities. Your giving helps the Ahadi boys to pursue and reach their goals academically, spiritually and emotionally. Ahadi Boys Home is 100% donor funded and your generosity gives these young men hope for a bright future.
